2024 Olympic Games men's Qualifications : Final for Glen Cuyle

Saturday the Paris Bercy arena welcomed the men for their qualifications at the Olympic Games. Luka Vanden Keybus, Noah Kuavita and Glen Cuyle represented team Belgium. Glen Cuyle showed an excellent routine on still rings and qualified for the apparatus final. 

Noah Kuavita and Luka Van den Keybus started their competition on parallel bars. Noah performed cleanly and scored 13.700. Luka started well but had to count a fall later on. (13.033)

Noah wanted to reach the final on his favourite apparatus: the high bar. Unfortunately he fell quite hard during his routine and also sat down his triple piked dismount. He scored 11.866. 

Luka recovered well on high bar and was rewarded with a score of 13.400. He was also strong on floor and scored 13.533. On pommel horse, things got complicated again. He fell at the end of his routine and scored 12.266. 

On rings Luka showed a decent routine for a score of 12.700. All Belgian eyes were on Glen Cuyle on the rings. With a stunning routine and a personal high score of 14.900, he qualified in 4th place for the rings final. 

Luka finished his qualifications on vault with a score of 14.166. His all-aroundtotal of 79.098, puts him in 37th place. Chinese gymnast Boheng Zhang qualified in first place all-around, beating the Japanese duo of Shinnosuke Oka and Daiki Hashimoto.

The Chinese men also lead the team's qualifications. Japan and Great-Britain were second and third.
