First tests for our gymnasts!

The World Gymnastics Championships are fast approaching (Glasgow, October 23-November 1)! Competitions tests have therefore started for both our boys and our girls.

The men's team had its first test on August 26. As a preparation for Worlds, the boys will travel to the Netherlands for a friendly meet with the Dutch team and the Italian team (September 19). In addition to that, Siemon Volkaert (GymMax), Dennis Goossens (Kerels Waasmunster) and Donna-Donny Truyens (Blauwput Omnisport) will go to the World Challenge Cup in Osijek (September 17-20).

The women's team had its first competition test on August 28. This test was used to make sure everything is ready for the World Championships. Gaelle Mys (OTV Nazareth), Laura Waem (Sportiva Sint-Gillis-Waas), Lisa Verschueren (Sportiva Sint-Gillis-Waas), Julie Croket (GymMAX), Rune Hermans (Gym Haacht), Cindy Vandenhole (Vaste Vuist Lauwe) and Jelle Beullens (De Gympies Keerbergen) competed there.

With gymnasts Hélia Hocquet (Gym Passion Herseaux) and Adélia Galofaro (Club Boussu Gym), the Belgian team will host a friendly meet against the Swedish and the Austrian teams on September 13 in Mouscron. After this meet, the World Gymnastics team will be named.
