2019 EYOF: All you need to know!

The 2019 European Youth Olympic Festival started on sunday with the Opening ceremony in  Baku, Azerbaijan. 3600 young athletes get to taste of the Olympic experience in this multi-sports event.  




Team Belgium will be represented by Charlotte Beydts, Margaux Dandois and Jutta Verkest on the girls side and by Glen and Nicola Cuyle and Victor Martinez on the boys side. They hope to follow in the footsteps of medal winning compatriots as Aagje Vanwalleghem, Maxime Gentges, Thomas Neuteleers, Axelle Klinckaert, Nina Derwael, Ward Claeys and Mattis Bouchet.


The men's qualifications, that also serve as team competition will be held on Tuesday. The Belgian boys compete in the second of three subdivision that starts at 11.45 Belgian time. They'll start on still rings.

The girls' qualifications are scheduled on Wednesday. The Belgian girls will compete in the last of 4 subdivisions. The girls start their competition on beam, at 15.15 Belgian time.

On Thursday the all-roundfinals are on the program. The boys final starts at 10.00, the girls will compete in their final at 14.00.

On Friday the first apparatus finals will be held. They'll start with the men's floor final, followed by women's vault, pommel horse, uneven bars and still rings. The finals start at 12.

The apparatus finals conclude on saturday with men's vault, beam, parallel bars, girls floor and high bar. They also start at 12.

The qualifications won't be streamed, but finals should be. We'll let you know!
