DTB-Pokal Team Challenge: all you need to know!

The Road To Rio continues for our Men's team. This weekend, 8 gymnasts will compete at the DTB-Pokal Team Challenge in Germany. Here are all the infos!

This weekend, Belgium will send 2 teams of 4 gymnasts. Here are the names of the gymnasts that will be sent to Stuttgart: Maxime Gentges (GC Malmédy), Gilles Gentges (GC Malmédy), Thibault Hoffreumon (La Courtoise), Jimmy Verbaeys (Blauwput Omnisport), Daan Kenis (Turnkring De Eik Lommel), Bram Louwije (Turnkring Vlamertinge), Jonas Baert (TK Kerels Waasmunsters) and Luka Van den Keybus (Gymteam Sint-Niklaas).

Competition format
A team can count up to 5 gymnasts. There will be a qualification round and the top 6 teams advance to the team final. In qualifications, 4 gymnasts compete on each apparatus and the 3 highest scores are taken into account for the team total (5-4-3 format). In final, 2 gymnasts compete on each apparatus and the 2 scores count for the team total (5-2-2 format).

Schedule
Friday 18 March - 10:00-11:30: Subdivision 1 (6 teams)
                              13:15 - 16:00: Subdivision 2 (12 teams)
Saturday 19 March - 15:45 - 18:00: team final (6 bests teams from the qualification rounds)

This competition is very important for our Men's team as the best 3 all-arounders will make the team that will be sent to the Olympic Test Event!
