2023 Junior World Championships: Qualification and Team Final.

Antalya is hosting the 2nd World Championships for Juniors. 5 Belgian gymnasts competed in the qualifications.

On wednesday Giel Vandeberg  and Victor Tournicourt completed their qualifications. Their main goal was to gain experience. Competing alongside the Japanese team surely was an inspiring experience. Giel finished 77th with a total of 71.333. He also received the price for the best execution score on floor. Victor finished on the 93th place with 68.432.

On thursday the Belgian girls completed their qualifications. Chloé Baert, Hanne Degryse and Yelena Devreker finished 10th as a team with a total score of 97.231. Yelena qualified for the all-around final with a score of 48.732. So did Hanne with 47.365.  She showed excellent execution on floor exercise and just misses the final. Her E-score of 8.233 is, just like Giels, the highest of the field. For Chloé these World championships were her first big international competition. She gained important experience for the future, scored 46.433 and finished 39th.
