On saturday and sunday the women's team took the stage at the World Championships in Liverpool. The Belgian team competed in the first of ten subdivisions. Nina Derwael and Lisa Vaelen both qualified for individual finals.

Lisa Vaelen kept her nerves under control and obtained 12.700 for her beam routine that included a front summersault mount, a front and side somi on the beam and a double tucked dismount. Maellyse Brassart mounted the beam with a stunning switch leap. She unfortunately fell on her side aerial and missed a few connections but showed stamina on her flic layout and double pike dismount. Maellyse opened her routine with a nice shaposhnikova to hindorff combination. The rest of the routine was a bit rushed and ended with a fall on her double front with half turn dismount.
