2022 World Championships: all-around final for Luka Van den Keybus.

Today Liverpools M&S Banks Arena was the stage for the men's qualifications at the 2022 World Championships. The Belgian men competed in the last subdivision.

The Belgian men competed in Olympic order and started their competition solidely on floor. Maxime Gentges opened the games for team Belgium with a score of 13.066 for his routine that included a double arabian. Noah Kuavita scored 13.100.  Luka Vanden Keybus impressed with a sky high double piked forward and added 13.700 to the team total. Takumi Onoshima opened his routine with a double piked forward and received 13.566.

The men then moved on to the pommel horse. The "dark" pommel horse is often a difficult apparatus for the Belgian men. It was not different this time. The 4 gymnasts all had to count fall. Noah scored 10.966. Luka and Takumi both scored 11.733. Maxime did a bit better and received a score of 12.833, the best score for the team on this apparatus.

On the rings Luka was the first to go and scored 12.800, a decent start of the rotation.  Noah unfortunately fell on his dismount. (11.733) Takumi added 12.566 to the total and Maxime received 13.000 for his routine.

On vault Takumi received 13.566 for his vault. Noah showed good form in his Roche vault and scored 14.300. Luka had the highest score of the team: a 14.500. Maxime's score of 12.766 was dropped.
