Siemon Volkaert started his career quietly in the Junior ranks, in 2008. That year, he won a silver medal at the Gymfinales, a Belgian event that reunites the best gymnasts from the country on each apparatus. Siemon will do it again a year later, then comes back in 2010 to win gold on floor exercise. This apparatus will appear to be Siemon's best, as he won a silver medal at the 2010 European Junior Championships in Birmingham.

He will then make the Seniors team that will be send to the European Championships in Berlin the next year. Since 2013, he is a regular member of the national team. This year, he missed the floor final at the European Championships in Montpellier, being 3rd reserve.
