European championships 2023: All-aroundfinal men

 Thursday april 13 the best 24 all-around gymnasts of Europe competed for the All-around crown in Antalya. Belgian gymnasts Victor Martinez and Luka Van den Keybus qualified for the final. Victor Martinez finished 12th and Luka Van den Keybus 18th. 



Luka and Victor started their competition on vault with two excellent vaults. A double twisting kasamatsu for Victor and a two and a half twisting yourchenko for Luka. They scored 14.333 and 14.400. 

They moved on to parallel bars where they both showed solid routines with a small step on landing. Victor scored 13.233 and Luka 13.466.  They also performed well on high bar. Victor showed nice tkatchevs and scored 13.000. Luka dismounted with a layout full in and was rewarded with a score of 13.433. 

On floor Victor showed difficult tumble passes. He opened with a double tucked with double twist and also showed a front double piked. Good for a score of 13.666. Luka also showed a clean and difficult routine with a one and a half twist followed by a double front and a triple twist. He was delighted with his score of 13.900.

On pommel horse Luka had some trouble and scored 11.500. Victor was the last to go on this apparatus but controlled his nerves well. He showed a very good and clean routine. He scored 13.033.

Luka was the first to go on still rings and scored 12.400. Victor scored 12.466. 

Luka totalized 79.099 and finished 18 th. While Victor took the 12th place with a total score of 79.731.

Turkish gymnast Adem Asil won the gold medal with a total score of 84.965. Jake Jarman from Great Britain won the silver medal. The leader from qualifications: Illia Kovtun won the bronze medal.
